A bit about me...

I am a self-confessed jack-of-all trades and have been exploring things like breathwork, somatic practices like yoga, sound journeys, cold water immersion and other ways of accessing flow states for many years. I get to play in different spaces - running 1:1 and small group sessions, face-to-face classes, programs, retreats, workshops, courses and offer lots of free resources through a number of platforms. I am a trained counsellor and have studied a number of psychotherapy protocols including Process Orientated Psychology. Recently (2025), I completed Level 1 Zenthai Shiatsu with the founder Gwyn Williams and am incorporating this modality into what I offer.

I am interested in trauma focused practices and the exploration of progressive therapeutic interventions for trauma recovery. I'm a bit of a nerd - I love layman's neuroscience and learning new stuff in that field.

In the yoga arena, I’ve been practicing yoga on and off for about 30 years and completed my first yoga teacher training in 2006. I teach classes and workshops locally and online, I've developed and facilitated yoga teacher training, and do some mentoring with yoga teachers. I wouldn't really consider myself a proper yoga teacher type though (whatever that means!).

In the past few years, I have become interested in deathwork and immersed myself in this space, training as a death doula, end-of-life consultant and Deathwalker. In 2023, I co-founded a registered charity - the Highlands End-of-Life Project which keeps me pretty busy!

My background is so broad – as well as the wellbeing offerings, my work has included government, legal, community and higher education sectors. I pick up contracts here and there, sometimes work up at the UNE, and also work as a consultant from time-to-time.

I LOVE travel, getting out in the bush and putting my feet on the earth. I am also a bit obsessed with flowers, and particular historical periods – especially Scottish and Irish history. Now I am in my mid 40s, I am finding myself drawn to different fitness focuses like lifting weights which is really fun.

I live in the lovely little town of Uralla in NSW, Australia with my partner and our huge furry dog named Ziggy (who, if asked, wouldn’t regard himself as a dog). All our kids have flown the nest now, so I am at that wonderful time in life where I have some freedom (and privilege) to play work-wise, and explore a range of random interests.
